For more than 40 years, Community Music Center of Houston (CMCH) has programmed and performed musical theater, jazz, gospel, blues, R & B, and classical concerts as well as educated and trained four generations of Black musicians. Our Scott Joplin Chamber Orchestra (SJCO) is the nation’s oldest African-American community orchestra.
