Houston Organizing Movement for Equity (HOME) Coalition

HOME Coalition's mission is to make Houston stronger, resilient, and equitable in the long road to recovery from Hurricane Harvey and future disasters. HOME strives to ensure that as the pace and intensity of disasters increases, communities of color have what they need to weather the disasters and fully recover.
Grassroots (using collective action from Black community to effect change at the local, regional, or national level)
Community-based (approach allows communities to have an active role and participate in highlighting and addressing the issues that matter to them)
